First of all, these are very nice jackets and I really like the fabric. I also appreciate that Silhouettes includes the length of its shirts and jackets in descriptions. I’m tall (5’10”), and it can save a lot of wasted time and shipping charges to have actual garment measurements. However, you really need to be specific about WHERE you are measuring length. For jackets, I use center back length (collar seam to hem), which seems to be the norm for men’s jackets. It has the advantage of being a straight seam, unlike the front, where you have curved seams for the bust and no center collar seam as a reference. (The front is supposed to end up the same length as the back in the wearing anyway.) That said, I ordered 4 of these jackets: 2 each of grey and black in 16W and 18W. I measured the center back seam on the garments I received from 28.75 to 29.25 inches ... well short of the 32 inches advertised in the description, and short of the 31 – 32 inch length I need in a low-hip style (to cover my rear end). So, Silhouettes, please be specific (and accurate) about lengths, and please increase tall options for tops and jackets. (It goes without saying that sleeve lengths, including these jackets, are always much too short for me, and defined waists hit me at the ribs, which is why I’ve been tailoring men’s shirts forever ... unfortunately, this doesn’t work for structured jackets.) Finally ... I literally cannot find a long blazer in navy blue ... please offer one!!
